YMCA Oasis Shelter & Daylight Center

Picture
Press Release:
On November 6, 2020, Robert Reim, treasurer of the local PFLAG chapter for Skagit County, presented a donation of $1,500.00 to Carrie Cook, the YMCA Oasis Shelter & Daylight Center Director. Also pictured is Hadley Prentis, the Oasis Outreach Program Director. “Oasis has been a lifeline for homeless young people from our area – many of whom are LGBTQ+,” said PFLAG mom, Kathy Reim. “They have worked tirelessly with our most vulnerable kids, and deserve all the support our community can muster in these challenging times.” To learn more about how to help Oasis go to www.skagitymca.org/oasis-teen-shelter. Our thanks to Amy Beek, licensed clinical social worker for taking this photo.
