𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝒟𝑅𝑒𝒾𝓂 𝐵𝒾𝑔 Scholarship Fund
Press Release:       May 17, 2021
PFLAG Skagit is proud to announce the recipients of the 2021 DReim Big Scholarships. These scholarships are given to honor the dedication of the Robert Reim family to the PFLAG mission of support, education and advocacy for the LGBTQ community, family, and friends.  Helping young people achieve their dreams is the closest hope of their hearts.
Kamryn Poirier from Sedro-Woolley High School has been awarded a $1000.00 scholarship and an Acer Chromebook 315. Kendra Pearson from Mount Vernon High School has been awarded a $1000.00 scholarship. Lupita Ocampo from Mount Vernon High School has been awarded a $300.00 scholarship. These young people are committed to careers in law, environmental studies, political science, and social justice, and each have demonstrated a respect for diversity and equality.
PFLAG Skagit is grateful to the generosity of its donors for making this possible and to the PFLAG Washington State Council for a special grant. The Chromebook was a special donation from a long-time PFLAG dad, Bill Pfeifer, whose memory is honored. This was the first year for this special chapter outreach.
